Welcome to the College and Career Awareness Summer Conference! Please remember that classes below are subject to change. All classes are on a first come first serve basis and selecting a class for your schedule does not guarantee a seat will be reserved for you in that class.
In the summer of 2001 three college grads hit the road in a old green RV with the intention to interview people from all walks of life to find out how they got to where they are today. From street performers and fishermen to CEO and top scientists, Mike, Nate and Brian wanted to hear the stories and struggles from a variety of people who'd found a way to create a life around doing what they loved as their career. After documenting 80 conversations, they knew they had to share this wealth of knowledge with others working to answer the age-old question, "So what do you want to do with your life?"
Sixteen years later, Roadtrip Nation continues to send young people on the road to hear stories from leaders in a variety of career fields with the intent to share these stories online, on public television, and most importantly, in the classroom. With career exploration becoming more and more imperative at an earlier age, career resources that younger students can connect to and get excited about are equally as important.
